not bad. tho I don't think the sky really fits with your render.
The light is really messed up.
In the photo you have a very low, yellow sun, in the middle of the picture behind your mountains.
Yet in your render the sun seems to be on the left ( according to the reflection in the water ), white and high enough to shed light on your mountains.
really strange.

+ those houses make your mountians look like a bunch of silly dunes.

So I really like the idea, but I think it needs some more work and thought.
